RENO, NV - Girl Scout Troop 497 is working with the Nevada Humane Society to help people care for their pets.

The Pet Love Event is happening at Lenz Elementary School Thursday night from 6:30-7:30. The goal is to educate pet owners about how best to care for and respect pets. It's free and open to the public. Donations will also be accepted for the Humane Society.

Lenz Elementary is at 2500 Homeland Drive in Reno.
